Written after putting together a meringue-based pudding (containing six egg whites) entirely by hand (at almost midnight).

We’d been out at a bbq and didn’t get home till nearly ten. I promptly snoozed on the sofa for half an hour, before having a most re-invigorating cup of tea and getting down to the dinner preparations. As you can see here the pud really did have to be started the night before!
