Ahem
Yes, it has been very quiet here. I have been rather busy. We have been cooking, but often not blogging. There has been the small (but painful) matter of a lack of internet connection (yours at a cost of £19.50 a month!).
However, there is a new post for you below, and there will be a new post for you tomorrow (I can say this with some certainty as I have already written it) and there may even be a further new post for you on Thursday. Just now though I have to get back to writing change of address cards, or *some* of you will no doubt complain!
re: no internet connection.
open a notepad on your desktop, and log dates/times etc, when your internet connection is off or not working.
log all the times (and durations) you have spent on the phone speaking to the company trying to get it resolved
log any “waiting in” for engineers or work thats promised by engineers but doesnt resolve the fault.
sounds trivial, but once you are up and running, or facing a bill for it, you can attach the notepad file to an email, and send it in to the company’s chairmans office, and question wether you should be paying for the service when *your service* has been at fault.
add to this same email references about wages lost/time off taken to try and help resolve the issue, etc.
you may just get your £19.50 back, you may get more if you pay quarterly, or the fault drags on longer, its better in your pocket than theirs!
love the recipes (so do my website members) good luck
